My name is Amy Hainsworth! I am a bonafide information hoarder. I consume information on Canadian Politics, World Affairs, and stories (and policies) about vulnerable people! My main sources of information are documentaries (and Netflix!!), CBC, podcasts and books.
My primary motivations to joining the Women from Away book club stem from conversations about turning my attentions to things that are less overtly traumatic.
Some logistics: I am a local from Calgary, Alberta. I have an Applied Bachelor of Nonprofit Studies from Mount Royal University and have worked to find safe and affordable housing for vulnerable people in Calgary since 2010. (Un)fortunately I will be moving to Hong Kong, China with my husband in December 2015 where I will continue to be a Women From Away by proxy!
