My name is Lacey and being in the women from away book club is literally one of my favorite hobbies!

I love that we have formed a little community around one of my favorite activities, reading!

Women from away gives me an opportunity to explore books I might not check out on my own and I love discussing them afterwards with this group of fantastic women!

Things you should know about me:  I work within the social work field helping people recover from the trauma of homelessness, I’m a body positive intersectional feminist, I have a crush on the Calgary public library, I’m an avid journal-er and maker of art, I love wearing several clashing patterns all at the same time and I'm currently learning how to play the Ukulele.

My favorite books are: The Red Tent (Anita Diamant), The Birth House (Amy McKay) and The Time Travellers Wife (Audrey Niffenegger)
