Stephanie

My name is Stephanie Limacher. I have a BA in English Lit with a minor in Philosophy, am a certified ESL teacher and am currently working in the IELTS department at Global Village English Centres. I am also working towards admission into the Masters of Speech Pathology program at the U of A.... cross my fingers! 

I have always loved reading and, while I never pulled an all-nighter in University, I have had a few with a good book. I was definitely that kid with the flashlight under the covers when I was young (and maybe not so young too...). 

I need a good Canadian Lit book when I am traveling as a connection to home. I need a book of poems to take my mind away, and a challenging non-fiction to bring it back. I need books that will push me and make me ask uncomfortable questions, and I need books with an obvious conformation bias to keep me comfortable. I need Women From Away Book Club to fuel that innate desire for female conversation and connection, and to draw me into new ways of seeing and feeling a story. And I need Jane Austen. Period.
